For thousands of years scientists have named and categorized the vast array of life on Earth.  This video program highlights the major advances concerning the classification of life, more specifically focusing on current trends in systematics and taxonomy. Concepts and terminology include: scientific name, binomial nomenclature, taxa, domains, Archea, Bacteria, Eukarya, evolutionary, relationships, systematic biology, phylogeny, and taxonomy.

Each program consists of a 20-minute video with on-screen assessments and vocabulary words.  The video is accompanied by a comprehensive 25-page instructor's manual that contains numerous student exercises, vocabulary activities, and assessment tools.

The DVD includes chapter breaks, indexes, labeled slides, glossary, and English subtitles.
