Six Indigenous strangers are dropped into the north woods with no food, supplies, or shelter. They hope to culturally reconnect and discover their identities. Oji-Cree elders teach them how to paddle their traditional birchbark canoes and how to use spruce pitch to repair damage, giving thanks to the tree. They give them traditional gifts to help them on their journey: clothing, fur hides, tools, and pemmican. As the sunlight fades, they offer a traditional Oji-Cree prayer of thanks.
