This black and white pencil animation presents a musical version of the poem ‘In Flanders Fields’ by WWI Canadian field surgeon John McCrae. Director and animator G. Scott MacLeod composed, sang, and played acoustic guitar on the soundtrack, which is from the digital album “A Brief Canadian History”. He has referenced notable Canadian war art in the drawings he created for this work about the atrocities of war.

This short production could be a fitting video to play at a Remembrance Day ceremony.

See the Resource Guide for Background information about the art work, the sound track, and the author of this famous poem.
