W5's Avery Haines tells the story of the frantic search for and tragic discovery of a missing baby in Kincardine, Ontario back in 1988. Julie Bowers was charged with the murder of her infant son, Dusty, sparking a sensational trials. She claimed her baby was stolen from her parked car while she was in a bank, and a day later, she led the police to a place she said she saw in a dream, where the baby's body is found. W5 is granted access to the trial files archives 30 years later, including the report by later disgraced pathologist Charles Smith. Julie speaks with W5 on the condition that her appearance be altered, recalling her experience through the trial and after she was acquitted. There is no evidence that police subsequently looked for other suspects, possibly because they still believed Julie Bowers was guilty. As a result of the W5 investigation, the OPP has re-assigned the case to a detective for full review.
