The alarm buzzer sounds at 6 am, rousing a young man from a deep sleep. He examines his face in the mirror. It is a face that has changed, is changing. He has been thrust into an unfamiliar world, a place of isolation and quiet, a world where he is forced to question the nature of identity and happiness.

No longer able to participate in his normal activities, Christopher, the young man in question, finds himself cut off from friends and the world he knew. But his spirit is far from broken. With James Dean as his model, he is the loner, cool and distant. He finds calm in his thoughts.

Through a stark and deeply moving drama of one youth dealing with terminal illness, we come to know Christopher as someone who keeps his head up, no matter how different he is made to feel. We find someone who has learned to appreciate each day as A Day So Beautiful.
