Demande de pré-visionnement
The social problems that affect urban and rural populations alike are not limited to developing countries. Illiteracy, elevated school drop-out rates, delinquency, unemployment and poverty are issues that face countries around the world, both in the East and the West. The youth of any society represent its future. Unfortunately, a large number do not have access to the necessary tools to help them reach their full potential. Some fall into delinquency or live in poverty; others do not have access to adequate education. By focusing on our young people, some ARCHITECTS OF CHANGE are working to ensure a better future. Featured: 1. Sébastien Marot (Mith Samlanh, Cambodia) provide education for homeless children leading to productivity and independence. 2. Jane Golden (Mural Arts Program, Philadelphia) a program to help reduce graffiti. 3. Bunker Roy and Ran Karam (Barefoot College, India) teaching literacy and skills in rural communities and providing basic services: solar energy, water, health care, rural handicrafts, etc.; encouraging learning-by-doing. )
