Toiroa – First People” Circa 850 AD. This mostly non-narrated story portrays a young girl and her changing relationship with her father when she discovers footprints in their remote homelands in the mystical Tararua mountain ranges of what is now New Zealand. Their Origin story is told in the opening scene with English subtitles.

‘The Untold Tales of Tuteremoana’, a dramatic Maori anthology series, brings us three ancient oral whakapapa stories of the Ngāi Tara people. Born of the stars and rooted in the homelands of ancient Aotearoa, the series features some of New Zealand’s top Māori actors.
