The evil spirit Wendigo (aka Windigo or Whetigo) is a malevolent, cannibalistic, mythical creature associated with winter and starvation. Doc sends Shayla to Kenora, Ontario - the Wendigo capital of the world. Two psychology professors describes this powerful mythical creature and the Wendigo psychosis. She meets with Ojibwe/Anishinaabe knowledge keeper Ron Mandamin who tells her about Wendigo teachings and its history with his people. Wendigo is the legendary concept of evil in Cree and Algonquin traditions. Doc concludes with a Wendigo story.
