‘Lethal by Design’ is a look at those creatures that make us squirm the most - Snakes, Spiders and Scorpions. These fearsome creepy crawlies are the animals we connect with least and fear most, but is our fear misplaced? While it’s true they have within their ranks some of the most venomous creatures in the world, what is less commonly accepted is that they are often more scared of us then we are of them. Their lives are designed around survival, where venom is a crucial tool in making a living, in a life where often the hunter becomes the hunted. In ‘Small and Dangerous’ we look at over a dozen unique and interesting species to explore their hunting methods, tricks of the trade and even their secret love lives. This documentary will bring the viewer face to face with some of the scariest looking critters in Africa, showing them not as wanton killers but as refined predators of the highest order.
