This three-part series from Canada AM looks at the personal impact of chronic pain and what can be done to alleviate it. As many as 9 million Canadians live with some form of chronic pain. It can last for months, or years robbing them of their ability to work and to fully participate in life.

Day 1: We'll talk to a doctor about what chronic pain is and who suffers the most from debilitating pain.

Day 2: We'll profile a woman living with chronic pain and we'll talk to the head of the chronic pain association about the social stigma of pain. We'll also look at some of the problems people face in getting proper diagnosis and treatment.

Day 3: We'll take a look at alternative pain therapies with a naturopath talking about taking a "whole body" approach to pain management.
