Thirteen year-old Samantha is a "high performance" synchronized swimmer with her sight set on the Olympics. As an Etobicoke native, she's never been much for winter activities and there's little time to spare with her intense training schedule. Nathan (12) lives for Quebec City's Carnaval de Québec each year - it's the highlight of his winter. He's a happy-go-lucky kid...and loves snow rafting, enjoying "la tire" (maple taffy cooled on the snow) and speaking to the Bonhomme.

The Swap: Samantha, who knows a few select French expressions, experiences Quebec culture first hand at the world's biggest winter carnival! Will she succeed at ordering maple taffy in French and performing a French song on stage - and perhaps the biggest challenge of all, surviving the bitter Quebec cold? Meanwhile, Nathan, gets his first taste of synchronized swimming with a weekend in the water. His limits are tested as he attempts tricky synchro moves including "the eggbeater," and performs with the team for an audience!
