In this traditional Inuit story, two young brothers on a hunting trip for seal find themselves adrift on broken sea ice. They drift in the darkness for many days, until their ice floe settles on the shore of a strange and distant land. The only safe haven to be found is a mysterious village filled with the sounds of drum dancing, music and revelry. In a land where men can shape-shift into wolves, these sounds turn out to be even more dangerous than the frigid ocean. Film producers Louise Flaherty and Neil Christopher say, "This story is an ancient legend and the hand-made quality represents the physical aspect of telling a story. We chose this minimalist style as we felt it would engage a contemporary Northern audience but still leave a lot to the imagination, thus respecting the Inuit oral tradition".

Graphic Novel based on this video: The Country of Wolves, retold by Neil Christopher, Inhabit Books.
