Rémi Dumont, a residential school survivor in search of healing and redemption, wants to tell his story with the help of an autobiography.
The series Pour Toi Flora brings to the screen the painful legacy of Indigenous residential schools in Quebec. These religious institutions aimed to assimilate Indigenous children and deprive them of their traditional teachings. Although fictional, the story reflects the reality of hundreds of families. It highlights the innate resilience of these uprooted children.
Video is in French with English subtitles.
