Do you ever like to just think about nothing? Hamza does – he’s been thinking about the number zero! For a number with absolutely nothing to it, it’s awfully important. You can make number lines, Cartesian planes…you can even make other numbers magically disappear. There’s nothing better than nothing!

Concepts: multiplication of any number by zero is always zero; Mayan calendars had zero;  Romans had no way to write zero; zeros were first used in India; zeros are important as place holders in our number system.
