Ella’s family is packing for their Annual Flare Star Day when Madhu asks Ella for help. Ella reluctantly accepts. Slippy is next to ask for her help racing the Gemini twins. Ella is not sure she has time but finally accepts. She’ll race, but only once! The twins win and Slippy convinces Ella to race again. Not wanting to disappoint Slippy, she accepts. Despite Maggie’s warnings, Ella continues to race, until she really is too late for flare day. The Gemini Twins save the day by getting Ella home in record time.

The year is 3021. The place is the Milky Way, where eight-year-old Ella gleefully heads out with her friends on exciting adventures of discovery. At only eight, she already knows quite a bit about space... but there is always more to explore!
