Tishe is a creative and curious 9-year-old girl who lives in Calgary, Alberta. Tishe and her parents were born in Nigeria while her brother was born in Canada. She loves everything about her culture and shows us how that heritage is kept alive, through a corn row hair style called Shuka, popular with the Yoruba people, and with her traditional dress of Kampala, irukere and coral beads which have special spiritual meaning to her people.
Sunny’s Quest features first-person stories told by Black children from across the country. Each episode showcases a different child and their unique perspective on their day-to-day hobbies, their talents, and heritage.
