There is an amazing variety of materials to choose from when manufacturing an item, and it's important to choose wisely so that the finished product has the desired properties. In this film, you'll get to know our most common construction materials. You'll learn that ceramics, such as brick, glass, and porcelain, have been used for a long time, and that metals are used in everything from buildings to small electronic parts, but that the metals don´t all share the same properties. The film gives you examples of how to use thermosetting plastics, which are hard and durable, and thermoplastics, which are more flexible and can be recycled better.
