This riveting documentary tells the of a group of ordinary people who committed extraordinary acts of generosity to help victims in the aftermath of the 1986 Chernobyl nuclear disaster. It contains rare footage of the reactor and surrounding area taken in 1992 by photo-journalist Lu Taskey, one of the first Westerners to visit the exclusion zone. In exclusive interviews, Lu Taskey recounts how he found himself standing in front of the burned out reactor a mere six years after the accident and how the experience changed his life.
Critic James Bawden called the film "must see TV".
