The Oneida Nation of the Thames is a Haudenosaunee First Nation community located in southwestern Ontario on land which they purchased when the emigrated from upstate New York. Hundreds of years of colonialism have left deep scars, but many are now turning back to their traditional practices, such as lacrosse, hunting and Indigenous foodways, to create a stronger and more resilient community. Meet Dayna McDougall and Ron Elijah, two siblings who have dedicated their lives to educating the next generation and collectively strengthening their community.
