In this episode, we will visit two ground-breaking programs in education and language acquisition that have been implemented in the school system in the Mi'kmaw communities of Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.  The first is a pilot project to have Mi'kmaw adopted as an official second language in the high school curriculum; the second uses Mi'kmaw as the language of instruction and the conceptual base for a university level program in science.

The documentary series ‘Finding Our Talk’ celebrates the many Canadian and international individuals, communities and organizations that are reclaiming their Indigenous languages, culture, stories, and identity.
