The Restoration Planet team helps track one of the world's rarest primates. Near the coast of Ecuador lies the Pacoche Rainforest, home of the critically endangered Ecuadorian white-fronted capuchin. We join a husband and wife team, Tamara and Santiago, conducting research on primates including the amazing howler monkeys who live in the Pacoche forest. Tamara and Santiago trek for miles through this region along with their friend and guide, Ramone. Ramone has spent his life in the area and has a wealth of helpful knowledge. Of special importance is his ability to avoid the dangerous pit vipers hiding in the vegetation! The trio hope to catch the rare and elusive capuchins on our camera trap to aid in their research. Tamara is an anthropologist and Ph.D candidate studying primates.
