A six-minute journey through the breathtaking and culturally significant landscapes of the Dasiqox watershed, with reflections and stories shared by Tŝilhqot’in Elders and community members from Yuneŝit’in, Xeni Gwet’in and Tl’etinqox in Nenqayni Ch’ih (Tŝilhqot’in language). This area, located in the proposed Dasiqox Tribal Park about 125 kilometres southwest of Williams Lake, BC, continues to be threatened by mining activity – the Tŝilhqot’in Nation has been fighting an open-pit copper and gold mine here for over ten years. Dasiqox Tribal Park is an alternative vision for the land that reflects the values of the Yuneŝit’in and Xeni Gwet’in – a vision that protects the area, creates sustainable economic livelihoods for the region, and upholds the land as a place where Tŝilhqot’in culture and language can thrive.

Narrated in Nenqayni Ch’ih (Tŝilhqot’in language) with English subtitles.
