After her parents' death, Kaley must move from the reserve to the city to live with her older sister. After an argument, Kaley runs away to return home. During her journey, she meets a superhero who tells her how to hone her own powers. In this animated film, Swampy Cree (MB) writer and filmmaker Sonya Ballantyne takes inspiration from Superman to create the character Maggie, also known by her super-powered alias the Thunderbird.

"Eagle Girl" is another of her short fiction superhero productions available to you here in Core.
