We are currently exploiting the world’s resources to the maximum extent. Unfortunately, as our needs increase each day, the availability of resources is beginning to dwindle. If we want to continue to satisfy the demands of our modern lifestyle, we urgently need to discover new sources of energy. The objective is to develop environmentally friendly, renewable types of energy. * Michel Gauthier, a chemist, researcher and entrepreneur, hopes to help to develop an affordable battery that is more efficient. He founded Phostec Lithium in Saint-Bruno which produces metal phosphate for a cutting-edge lithium iron phosphate battery. * Michel Laberge is a physicist, engineer and founder of General Fusion, a BC Canadian company created to develop an effective model for nuclear fusion. His goal is to create a safe and economical source of energy, free from nuclear waste. * Shabana Bhatti is an Algal Biofuels Research Associate at the National Research Council Canada. She works with other scientists to find the best technology to commercialize biofuels made from microalgae. Also available in French: Inventer les énergies de demain
