John is in Dubai, a city known for its fast cars and glittering skyscrapers, a city people from all over the world call home. He can’t wait to find out about the food that people from across the Middle East have brought with them to this modern metropolis. On a sunset food tour John experiences food from Egypt to Iraq, he learns how to make traditional Turkish Halva in a top hotel and gets stuck in to some Pakistani specialities at a restaurant that’s been serving the locals for decades.  All this inspires John to make a dish of his very own, spiced potato cakes with aromatic chickpeas.
