Chef Rich Francis visits the Six Nations, Ontario, community where he learns about white corn, one of Turtle Island's most important food sources! He visits Terrylynn Brant, a farmer and seed keeper/seed security advocate, and her daughter Tawnya, a chef who is pushing the boundaries of indigenous food, who have been harvesting and eating corn their whole lives. Tawnya prepares of some favourite corn dishes and discusses the history of corn. This staple food has kept the Haudenosaunee fed and healthy for millennia and has helped shape the cultures of the Haudenosaunee people. In Terrylynn's garden we see how corn is harvested and processed. In the bush they forage and gather wild foods and Rich brings his learnings to the firepit, creating some new and exciting corn dishes.

In the Wild Game Series, chef Rich Francis explores indigenous communities across Canada and traditional and modern methods of harvesting and preparing the food that has shaped their cultures over the millennia.
