The New Recruits is a documentary about a battalion of business students armed with a plan to end global poverty: charge poor people for goods and services. The recruits are selected from thousands of applicants to take part in the prestigious Acumen Fund Fellows Program. They will apprentice with "social enterprises" around the world intended to help poor people by treating them as customers rather than recipients of charity.
