For more than a century, human and industrial activities have posed significant threats to our planet's water. Water is at the heart of life itself and of the diversity of species. If it is polluted or there is a shortage of water, then many ecosystems come under threat.  This episode looks at three extensive projects scientists are undertaking to rescue the ecosystems, biodiversity and animals at the scene of natural catastrophes. They are trying to “fix nature”.
