Cooper and Cole are brothers who share a love of sledge hockey, a game designed to allow people with disabilities to play hockey. Invented in Sweden in 1960, it was featured in the first Paralympic games in Norway in 1994. Guest pro Jordan demonstrates how his stick picks grip the ice and his strategies for getting maximum acceleration on his sledge. We learn more about Newton’s third law of motion as we see action and reaction at work on the ice rink.  Other facts: because ice is less dense than water, ice cubes float in liquid; the puck is kept frozen for pro hockey because it has more energy when it heats up during a game and is harder to control.
