Tucson, in the southwestern United States, is a vibrant city with a rich Indigenous history that continues to shape its identity today. While integrating into urban life  can be difficult for many Indigenous people, organizations like the Native Music Coalition are makeing it easier.

Vince, once caught in cycles of violence, addiction, and incarceration, rebuilt his life through ceremony and now leads NMC, serving thousands with peer‑run, judgment‑free resources. Jessica, shaped by childhood trauma and early motherhood, escaped an abusive relationship, rebuilt her life, and now manages the women’s home—helping mothers recover, heal, and reunify with their children.

Both emphasize cultural identity, community healing, and breaking cycles of silence and stigma. The programme fosters confidence, trust, and mutual support among Native women, blending therapy, tradition, and lived experience.
